Tips on Recruiting

There are many ways to recruit members to participate on your Intersectional teams. Some Clubs simply ask members to join a team, others might use results from the Club Championship, whereas another might organize a series of qualifying rounds over several weekends.

Here's an example of what Chris Barber at The Landings has been doing for a few years with great success and high participation from the members. The email goes out in early June, with subsequent emails prior to each qualifying round:

Hi everyone,

The QKIM Intersectionals will be held in 2020, and we want you to represent The Landings on our team.  The 2020 schedule is full of interesting locations and competition, and one that I know our members will enjoy.

I have attached a detailed list of competitions, categories, locations and qualification dates and procedures.  Each participant must play in at least 3 qualifying rounds (from 4 qualifiers and 2 rounds of club championship).  We will take the average of your 3 best scores, so the more you play, the better your chances.  To register for the qualifiers, ask in the pro shop, and we will make sure you are included. If you have any questions, please let me know.
